Alice Teaser

In anticipation of the Alice and Wonderland blog event, I've done a watercolor study of the character as I see her in my mind's eye...
I had alot of fun painting her =) She is for sale in my Etsy shop as an original, and will soon be available as a print as well (as soon as my Dick Blick order for fancy-art printer paper arrives!)

Just for fun, here are a few classic illustrations that shaped the way we imagine Alice.

I the actual Alice that inspired the original illustrations wsan't Alice Liddel but another little girl. Alice Liddel was the little girl for whom he wrote the story.
I love your Alice. She is beautiful.
